What Harris County Shows

Harris County is mostly Houston, so this list reads differently from the Permian's. Halliburton's 2020 filings are the largest here, and the notices since 2024 include some of the biggest recent ones in the state: Chevron and Hess, Marathon Oil, Baker Hughes, and Encino. When a Houston address files, the people affected may be the ones who approve vendors, so check in on your contacts. Start with getting known by oil and gas supply chain and what happens to a house account when an operator gets bought.

The largest filers in the county:

  • Halliburton: 4,510 workers.

  • ExxonMobil / XTO: 677 workers.

  • Chevron: 575 workers.

  • Marathon Oil: 500 workers.

  • Seadrill: 465 workers.

  • Baker Hughes: 358 workers.
