Your rep finally has the meeting. Before he walks in, the buyer looks him up and finds a quiet profile, while a competitor's rep, worse in the field and louder online, looks like the expert. You own the number and sell through three to ten reps, and any one of them can get checked like that before he says a word.

Arming a crew means every rep is findable and credible before the meeting, under his own name, in his own voice, with his own yes on every post.

The Smartest People on Your Crew

When I asked my mentor how he was able to build such a successful business, he told me, "I'm not smarter than anyone else. I just knew how to surround myself with people who are smarter than me."

If you hired reps who know their customers better than you do, you did what he did. Your job now is making sure the buyers know it too, rep by rep, before the meeting instead of after the loss.

Where the Rigs Went and Who Runs Them Now

Baker Hughes figures put the Permian at 304 rigs at the start of 2025 and 247 on December 30, 2025, as Permian Basin Oil and Gas Magazine reported. The count was back up to 272 by the week ending October 16, 2026. In a slide like 2025's, cold outreach gets cut, and a rep the buyer already knows is the cheapest lead you have. See managing a sales team in a downturn.

The names at the top move, too. Devon and Coterra completed their all-stock merger on May 7, 2026, and the combined company operates as Devon Energy, headquartered in Houston, according to Devon's 8-K. After a merger, the people your reps knew may land in new seats, and every rep needs to be findable by whoever holds the pen next.

What a Permian Sales Manager Costs to Hire

The Energy People Group's Regional Sales Manager posting from March 30, 2026, for an employer it doesn't name, puts a manager in the Midland office leading the Permian Basin sales team at a $150,000 to $200,000 base with a 20 to 45 percent bonus. At that pay, a manager's hours are too expensive to spend teaching every new hire the same answers. Compare OilMoney vs sales training before you buy either.

Who Works Behind Each Rep

Behind your reps on our side are people like Gage and Ashi. Gage, our Marketing Manager and Photographer in Houston, is a professional photographer who knows how to take a good photo and, more than that, how to capture the essence of a person, the story, and the things that matter. Ashi, our LinkedIn Growth and Authority Advisor, takes the courses, learns what's working now, and tracks every algorithm change LinkedIn puts out. Your reps don't have time to learn how to hack LinkedIn. They're in the field getting their hands dirty, and that's where they belong.

Each rep on a crew seat runs the same four moves of The Warm Walk-In™ on his own profile:

  1. Capture. One story dump a quarter, typed or spoken from the truck.
  2. Rig up. Positioning, voice, profile, one signature offer. Four to six weeks. Yours forever.
  3. Run the rotation. Posts in your voice on a fixed calendar, three to five a week, never more than one a day. Your name in the right conversations. A fresh lead magnet every quarter.
  4. Read the quarter. A plain-English video review every three months. Saves, messages, meetings. Not likes.

What Crew Seats Cost

Every crew starts with The Rig-Up, the four-to-six-week build of each rep's positioning, voice, profile, and signature offer. Then comes The Rotation, the posts in each rep's voice. Nobody buys The Rotation alone, and it has a six-month minimum for every seat.

  • One seat, for comparison: The Rig-Up $8,500 once, then The Rotation at $2,450 a month. Minimum first commitment: $23,200.
  • Crew of two: $16,000 once, then $4,600 a month. Minimum first commitment: $43,600.
  • Crew of three: $24,000 once, then $6,900 a month. Minimum first commitment: $65,400.
  • 4 to 5 seats: $7,500 once and $2,150 a month, per seat. Minimum first commitment: $20,400 per seat.
  • 6 to 10 seats: $7,000 once and $2,000 a month, per seat. Minimum first commitment: $19,000 per seat.
  • 11 or more seats: ask us.

Each minimum first commitment is The Rig-Up plus six months of The Rotation, the least you would spend to start, never a yearly price. The six-month minimum is there because a truck stuck in the mud needs traction before it moves. We do not promise a return. The full crew offer is on For Crews.

What Each Rep Owns and Approves

Each rep owns everything we build with him: his profile, his posts, his voice guide, and his own lived experience. A crew seat is a benefit of the job. If he leaves, everything we built with him leaves with him. The turnover guide below covers the account side.

Posts are personal to each profile, and each rep approves every post on his own profile. There is no director or legal sign-off step. If you need to control what your reps say, this is the wrong tool.

When a Company Page Fits Better

If you need one company voice that the company controls, instead of three to ten personal ones that each rep approves, a company-page program fits better. That is Unrth's work, not OilMoney's. Still deciding? See whether your reps should post themselves or leave it to the company page.

Proof, From One Founder

No crew result exists yet, so this is the individual program each rep gets, run for one founder.

A fourth-generation Permian service-company founder who hated marketing. His board nearly killed the project over ROI. We spent June to October 2025 building his name, then started posting for him, in his voice, with his yes on every post.

From Sep 15, 2025 to Oct 19, 2026: 270,955 impressions, 104,386 people reached, and followers up from 1,974 to 4,232, with 61% of them working in oil and gas. LinkedIn's Social Selling Index ranks him in the top 1% of sales professionals in oil and gas.

No name, by policy. It's his name, not ours. Read the full story.

If your CFO pushes back on ROI the way his board did, start with justifying marketing spend to the CFO.
